We had a great conversation with Actress LaToya Ward on The Chris & Sandy Show. We talked about many things from family, positivity, Covid, acting, sacrifices, she told many great stories to a whole lot more! We also talked about how she got the role in one of Tyler Perry’s movies. LOVED Hope you all enjoy this as much as we did having her on the show.

As Chief Executive Officer of Toy Vision Entertainment, the company LaToya founded in 2004, LaToya is paving the way as a successful Actress,
Filmmaker, Producer, Writer, Model and Social Media Influencer with over 1.3 million followers. A Texas native residing in Los Angeles, California, LaToya has created a platform to be an inspiration for others offering collaboration opportunities in a scarce environment.

As a member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA), LaToya’s success as an Actress has
garnered several awards to include Best Lead Actress at the London International Film Festival for her role in the Movie Lost by Aaron Avont Johnson, Best Lead Actress in a drama series Shades of Life by Keith Moore and a San Antonio finalist in the Who Wants to a Soap Star Competition.
Out of 550 contestants, LaToya was selected after personally auditioning for Tyler Perry which landed her a role on Tyler Perry’s, If Loving You Is Wrong which aired on the OWN Network.

In Jan 2021, LaToya starred in a feature film Web expected to do exceptionally well in the Nollywood and Hollywood arena. In 2020, she produced and starred in Run, directed by Jahmar Hill which will be released in 2021 along with feature film, She Sexy and Dream Chair. In 2019, LaToya wrote, executive produced and starred in her first short film, Damsel, directed by Jahmar Hill. To date, LaToya has written two feature films and well on her way to completing her third. Her first feature film entitled Not My Son, is slated for production in 2021. Her other feature films, Love Spell and Christmas Game Night are slated for production in 2022. She has also written 3 short films and working on a developing a television series. Her literary work is registered with the Writers Guild
of America (WGA).

In December of 2019, LaToya had a supporting role in a movie called London Mitchell’s Christmas which aired on AspireTV; a supporting role in the first black/urban Valentine’s Day movie entitled “My Online Valentine”
which was shown in select theaters in the US; a supporting role in Prison Logic, created, written and directed by Romany Malco and Executive Produced by Will Packer set for theatrical release in 2020; Lead Actress in feature film Blunt News and short film Roll Up Driver. In August 2018, LaToya was the lead in a one hour drama TV Pilot, created, written and directed by Aaron Avont Johnson.

LaToya is passionate about inspiring and influencing others to pursue their dreams whole heartedly. She is pleasant to work with and always professional on and off set. She is often hired several times by the same
production companies because of her talent, tenacity, positive attitude, and impeccable work ethic.

LaToya graduated from Texas State University in San Marcos, TX with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre Arts.

After graduation, she went on to receive her Master’s in Human Resources Management from Webster University.
