What an awesome conversation we had today with Pastor Matt Hearn from Gateway Church Pooler / Savannah on The Chris & Sandy Show. He is a NUT but it was so much fun. We laughed, we cried and had every emotion through this conversation. He has a heck of a story that needs to be told. Thats why we brought him him today. I wanted to do something different for Easter.

I am honored to bring him on our show. hes one of the few who has looked Sandy & I in the eye and told us not only how proud of us he was BUT how proud of us for what we are doing with our show. That MEANS everything to us.
We have poured so much into New Country Buzz & then this year into The Chris & Sandy Show which now Matt will be our 55th guest this YEAR! WOW God has been good to us!
I hope and pray that this show today will touch people as much as possible as he tells parts of his story and I too weave parts of my story into the mix.
We are gonna laugh, we are gonna cry, we are gonna feel every emotion today! Matt will MOVE you!
He has one heck of a God story and we want to share his srory with each of you. As you know we get up close & personal with amazing rising artists. Well today we are gonna get up close & person with our Pastor! We will also talk about his book “Suffering – The Gift That No One Wants”.

It is with a VERY heavy heart that we tell you Pastor Matt Hearn from Gateway Church passed away today. I wanted to post this as he touched mine and Sandy’s lives in a very special way.
He was one of the few if not the only pastor who actually believed in Sandy & I and what we are doing with our show.
He even allowed me to interview him on our show last Easter which the link is below. I wanted to post the link so people who did not know him or not know him well could hear his personality in this interview. And for those of us who knew him pretty well to treasure this moment we had with him!
You will see the kind of person he was by the way he did the interview with us. He was one of a kind that is for sure!
Before Covid he came up to Sandy & I at Gateway Church in Pooler and told us how proud he was of us and what we were doing with our show. He genuinely believed in us. It wasnt a fake under your breathe belief in you just to say it because he was a pastor.
There was NOTHING fake about this great man.
Many times through Covid last year I would chat with him on what and who we were having on our show.
He always seen the possibility of what Sandy & I could become and pushed me to be that.We knew this day would come as he’s been fighting cancer for a long time but this literally breaks my heart.
My buddy Matt Hearn , thank you for your friendship. Thank you for believing in Sandy & I. Thank you for the friendship we had together. I will never forget you and one day when our show wins an Emmy, we will remember you telling us our show would get there. Here’s to an amazing man of God that I admired. You meant the world to me. More than you’ll ever know.. We love you buddy! RIP my friend
